Terms of Use


You agree to be bound by these terms and conditions of use (“Terms of Use”) by using or accessing the Star Alliance Lounge Access Reservation Service (“Lounge Access” “Reservation” or “Lounge Atlas”), or any applications or websites made available by Star Alliance and/or the Service Provider (jointly called the “Service”).

Do not use or access the Service if you do not agree to be bound by all of these Terms of Use.

Star Alliance Lounge Access is the propriety of Star Alliance Services GmbH, Frankfurt Airport Center 1, 5th Floor, Hugo-Eckener-Ring, 60546 Frankfurt/Main, Germany (“Star Alliance”)

The Service is contracted, controlled, owned, and maintained by Information Engineering Group Inc ( (Service Provider)., a Province of Quebec corporation. These Terms of Use affect your legal rights and obligations.

These Terms of Use are effective as of May 1st, 2021.


SUMMARY of General Conditions

All Lounge Access reservations are non-transferable

You may only use the Lounge access reservation on the date and time shown on the Access Documents. Entry to a Lounge outside of the date and time shown on the Access Documents shall be at the discretion of the Lounge but in no event after three hours of the time shown on the Access Documents. unless otherwise indicated on the Access Document or by the Lounge.

All Lounge Access reservations are cancellable and fully refundable if performed more than 24 hours prior to the estimated time of entrance.

All lounge Access reservations are fully refunded if cancelled more than the 24 hours prior to the estimated time of entrance due to your flight being cancelled or delayed for more than 4 hours. In case of no cancelation of reservation, or flight not cancelled or delayed for more than 4 hours, the Lounge Access reservation shall not be refunded.

All Lounge Access reservations are partially refunded excluding service fee of 5% of total transaction if purchased less than the 24 hours prior to the estimated time of entrance due to your flight being cancelled or delayed for more than 4 hours.


1. Basic Terms

1.1 You are at least 18 years of age and have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms of Use and use the Service.

1.2 You must abide by dress code and other mandatory lounge policies, at the discretion of Star Alliance, the lounge operator, or third parties. Star Alliance is not liable for any loss suffered by when refused admission or lounge use because you have not complied with the individual lounge’s terms and conditions.

1.3 Lounge Access is strictly subject to you being in possession of a valid boarding pass; Lounge Access document (QR code in receipt page/wallet/email), legitimate travel documentation and identification for the same day of travel.

1.4 As a user of the service you will not sell, transfer, license, or assign your Lounge Access and Reservation rights to any other party or parties.

1.5 Access the Service to make any fraudulent, speculative, or false Reservation, or any Reservation in anticipation of demand. Star Alliance and/or the Service Provider, reserves the right to cancel all such prohibited Reservations for Lounge Access without notice and without liability.

1.6 Star Alliance and/or the Service Provider strictly prohibits purchasing Lounge Access or creating a Reservation for another party other than yourself and associated guests, with the notable exception of organizations who are pre-authorized by Star Alliance and/or the Service Provider to create advanced Reservations on behalf of their clientele.

1.7. Information provided by Star Alliance and/or the Service Provider (including lounge entry rules, policies, products, services, instructions, locations, hours, descriptions, pricing, etc.) may be inaccurate or may not be fully complete.

1.8 You must not purchase lounge access and create Reservations with the Service through unauthorized means, including but not limited to, by using an automated device, script, bot, spider, crawler or scraper.

1.9 You may not use the Service for any illegal or unauthorized purpose.

1.10 You must not violate any laws, rules, and regulations whether international, provincial, federal, local and state in the use of the Service (including but not limited to, copyright laws)

1.11 You are responsible for any activity that occurs through the Lounge Access/Reservation process conducted on the Service Provider website. You also represent that all information you provide or provided to Star Alliance and/or the Service Provider upon making a Reservation for Lounge Access and at all other times will be true, accurate, current and complete and you agree to update your information as necessary to maintain its truth and accuracy.

1.12. You must not submit confidential information via the Service

1.13 You must not impersonate, defame, abuse, harass, threaten, or intimidate other users of the Service.

1.14 You are solely responsible for your conduct and any data and information submitted via Star Alliance and/or the Service Provider services and applications.

1.15 You must not change, modify, adapt or alter the Service or change, modify or alter another website so as to falsely imply that it is associated with the Service, Star Alliance and/or the Service Provider.

1.16 You must not create or submit unwanted commercial or harassing communications (“spam”) to users of Star Alliance and/or the Service Provider at any time.

1.17 You must not interfere or disrupt the Service, servers or networks connected to the Service

1.18 You must not transmit any worms, viruses, spyware, malware, or any other code of a destructive nature.

1.19 You may not inject content or code or otherwise alter or interfere with the way Star Alliance and/or the Service Provider page is displayed or rendered in a user’s browser and/or device.

1.20 You must not attempt to restrict another user from using the Service

1.21 You must not encourage or facilitate violations of these Terms of Use

1.22 Violation of these Terms of Use may, in our sole discretion, result in restriction or termination of all or part of the Service effective any time, without notice to you, for any reason, including fraud or infringement of the Terms of Use or possibility of legal exposure for Star Alliance and/or the Service Provider. We will have no responsibility to notify any third-party, including third-party providers of services, of any termination, restriction, or suspension of all or part of the Service.

1.23 You acknowledge that your use of the service is at your own risk


2. General Conditions

2.1 You agree that use of the Service after the effective date and estimated time of arrival of the terms constitutes your agreement. You should review these Terms of Use before using the Service.

2.2 Star Alliance reserves the right to refuse, modify, or terminate the Service, effective any time, without notice, for any reason, and without liability to you.

2.3 Upon termination, all licenses and other rights granted to you as part of these Terms of Use will immediately cease.

2.4. We reserve the right to alter these Terms of Use at any time, under our sole discretion. If the alterations constitute a material change to the Terms of Use, we will provide reasonable notice and will notify you via email. What constitutes a "material change" will be determined at our sole discretion, in good faith and using common sense and reasonable judgement.

2.5 You agree that Star Alliance is not responsible or liable for the conduct of any user, and that you are solely responsible for your conduct while using the Service.

2.6 The Service may be directed from a website managed by a lounge operator or third-party containing content that we do not endorse or control. There may also be links from third party web sites or features or may be routed from another website. You expressly acknowledge and agree that Star Alliance and/or the Service Provider is in no way responsible or liable for any such third-party services, features, or websites.

2.7 Your correspondence and business dealing with lounge operators and third parties through the service are solely between you and the lounge operator or third party.

2.8 You agree that you are responsible for all data charges you incur through use of the Service.

2.9 We prohibit crawling, scraping, caching or otherwise accessing any content on the Service via automated means.


3. Rights

3.1 The Service is protected by copyright, trade secret and other laws, and as between you and Star Alliance and/or the Service Provider. The Service Provider owns and retains all rights as part of the Service.

3.2 You agree not to modify, copy, alter, distribute, transmit, display, perform, reproduce, publish, license, create derivative works from, transfer, or sell any information, software, services, or products obtained from Star Alliance and and/or the Service Provider.

3.3 All copyrights, trademarks, trade names, logos, and service marks ("Marks") displayed on the Service are Star Alliance and/or of the Service Provider. property or the property of other third parties. You are not permitted to use these Marks without Star Alliance and/or of the Service Provider prior written consent.

3.4 You hereby agree that Star Alliance and/or the Service Provider may place advertising and promotions on the Service, and it may not be identified as sponsored content.

3.5 You acknowledge that the Internet may be subject to breaches of security, and submission of information may not always be secure,

3.6 Except as otherwise described in the Service’s Privacy Policy and GDPR, as between you and Star Alliance and/or the Service Provider, information submitted will be non-confidential and non-proprietary, and we will not be liable for use or disclosure of information.

3.7 Although it is Star Alliance and/or the Service Provider intention for the Service to be available as much as possible, there will be occasions when the Service may be interrupted, including, without limitation, for scheduled maintenance or upgrades, for emergency repairs, or due to failure of telecommunications.


4. Terms Governing the Purchase and use of the Star Alliance Lounge Access Voucher

4.1 The Service is the ability to purchase access to lounges and associated products either online as a pre-booked Reservation or onsite Reservation at lounge entry (if available). The Service is available on desktop web browsers, and on mobile devices. Use of this Service is governed by these Terms of Use, including any purchase by you from Star Alliance and/or the Service Provider (a “Transaction”) The Service Provider is the operator of the Service.

4.2 Information regarding pricing will be displayed for each lounge. These lounge prices are set by Star Alliance.

4.3 When you purchase a Lounge Access voucher using the Service, you agree to pay to the Star Alliance provider the displayed price. The Star Alliance provider will then process the transaction through the payment processor.

4.4 By using the Service and entering into a transaction, you acknowledge and agree that you are entering into an agreement with Star Alliance to purchase Lounge Access or another product, which will be rendered by the lounge owner. Star Alliance is not liable to you for failure on the part of the lounge owner or operator to provide you access to the lounge, or to provide any additional services or ancillaries.

4.5 You must abide by the Terms of Use, policies, and rules of each participating lounge location, and therefore the provision of Lounge Access provided by Star Alliance does not guarantee access to the lounge. These may include additional terms and conditions not stated in these Terms of Use. Therefore, Star Alliance and/or the Service Provider are not liable for any loss suffered by when refused admission or lounge use because you have not complied with the individual lounge’s terms and conditions.

4.6 When presenting the Access Documents to enter a Lounge, you are required to inform Lounge staff that they wish to enter the Lounge using the Star Alliance Lounge Pass by referencing “Star Alliance Lounge Pass”. Lounge staff will verify eligibility to enter the Lounge by checking the Access Documents visually and then electronically recording the Access Documents through a code reader, or otherwise entering the details into a secure system. The electronic record of the Customer’s Access Documents will be considered valid evidence of the Customer accessing the Lounge. Valid Access Documents entitle Customers to access the Lounge however if the lounge has reached its maximum capacity, the entrance can be denied, and a partial refund can be claimed.

4.7 Use of the Lounge access is non-transferable, and you may only use the Lounge access on the date and time shown on the Access Documents. Entry to a Lounge outside of the date and time shown on the Access Documents shall be at the discretion of the Lounge but in no event after three hours of the time shown on the Access Documents. The Means of Access may not be used by any person other than the eligible Customer named on the Access Documents and by the number of persons shown on the same. The Access Documents provide for a maximum three hour stay in the Lounge unless otherwise indicated on the Access Document or by the Lounge.

4.8 You are advised to confirm the Lounge is accessible from the terminal from which you are travelling. Star Alliance and/or the Service Provider will not be liable for any Customer or reservation agent who has incorrectly or mistakenly booked a Lounge or a date/time which is not appropriate for their journey.

4.9 Some Lounges in Europe are located within designated Schengen areas of the airport, which means that access is only provided to these Lounges if Customers are travelling between Schengen countries (an up to date list of Schengen countries is detailed at http://ec.europa.eu/dgs/home-affairs/what-we-do/policies/borders-and-visas/schengen/index_en.htm .).

4.10 The provision of free alcoholic drinks (where local law permits) is at the discretion of each Lounge location and in some cases may be limited or unavailable. In such cases the Customer is responsible for paying any charges for additional consumption directly to Lounge staff. See www.staralliance.com for individual Lounge descriptions for details.

4.11 Telephone and Wi-Fi facilities (where available) vary and are provided at the Lounge’s discretion. Free usage of telephone in Lounge facilities is generally limited to local calls only. Charges for any other services are at the discretion of each Lounge, and the Customer is responsible for paying these directly to the Lounge.

4.12 Lounges have no obligation to announce flights and you accept that Star Alliance shall not be held liable for any direct or indirect loss resulting out of failing to board your flight(s). Further, it is your responsibility to check the relevant entry requirements for any country being visited and to have the correct travel documentation for the journey.

4.13 All service fees and charges included as part of each transaction are non-refundable (unless specified in these Terms of Use)

4.14 Star Alliance and/or the Service Operator reserves the right to not process or cancel your transactions through the Service, either at our sole discretion or at the direction of a lounge owner - effective any time, without notice, for any reason, and without liability to you.

4.15 Star Alliance and/or the Service Operator reserves the right to verify your identity and credentials before processing any transaction as part of the Service.

4.16 All disputes raised by you will be the responsibility of Star Alliance and/or the Service Operator, except for disputes relating to lounge services rendered by the lounge owner or operator.

4.17 Star Alliance and/or the Service Operator reserves the right to investigate disputed transactions or fees and may cancel your Reservation for Lounge Access and any transactions while reviewing the disputes.

4.18 You will have the ability to select your preferred transaction currency as part of the Service - you are solely responsible for all currency conversion fees incurred when processed.

4.19 All transactions are cancellable and fully refundable if performed more than 24 hours prior to the estimated time of entrance.

4.20 All transactions can be cancelled and partially refundable if performed less than 24 hours before the estimated time of entrance indicated during the purchase and the flight indicated by you is cancelled or delayed for more than 4 hours. All transactions partially refunded, less applicable non-refundable service charges, including currency conversion fees (the non-refundable service fee is set at 5% of total amount charged, however may vary depending on lounge location and date/time of booking. To be eligible for a partial refund, the transaction much be cancelled and the flight you have indicated must be cancelled or delayed for more than 4 hours. You are not eligible for a full refund if you create a same-day Reservation for Lounge Access or request a refund less than 24 hours before the scheduled lounge entry time. Star Alliance and/or the Service Provider reserve itself the right to allow for cancelations, modifications to the original reservation and partial cancelations for reservations with less than 24 hours before the lounge entry time you have selected and purchased originally.

4.21 To be eligible for a partial refund, you must follow the instructions outlined in your Reservation receipt to request a refund through the Service (“Manage my Reservation”) at least 24 hours before your scheduled lounge entry time

4.22 Basic information associated with the Reservation and Lounge Access may be updated through the Service (“Manage My Reservation”). You are solely responsible for the accuracy of said updates, and Star Alliance and/or the Service Operator is not liable for any inaccuracies.

4.23 Star Alliance and/or the Service Operator is not responsible for the displayed services and information provided by lounge owners, operators, or third parties. Lounge owners and operators are solely responsible for providing the Service as advertised and marketed to you – including liabilities associated with the use of the lounge.


Disclaimer of Warranties

THE WEBSITE AND THE SERVICE ARE PROVIDED "AS IS”, AND "AS AND WHEN AVAILABLE" WITHOUT ANY WARRANTY, CONDITION, REPRESENTATION OR GUARANTEE OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING, WITHOUT LIMITATION, ANY IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, OR ANY WARRANTIES RESPECTING TITLE, QUALITY, PERFORMANCE, ACCURACY, COMPLETENESS, OR TIMELINESS OF DATA, ALL OF WHICH IEG INC. HEREBY EXPRESSLY DISCLAIMS TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.

STAR ALLIANCE AND/OR THE SERVICE PROVIDER MAKES NO REPRESENTATION ABOUT, OR ENDORSEMENT OF, ANY OF THE LOUNGES TO WHICH YOU MAY PURCHASE LOUNGE ACCESS VIA THE SERVICE, AND SUCH ACCESS IS PROVIDED BY IEG INC. ON AN “AS IS”, “AS AVAILABLE” AND “WITH ALL FAULTS” BASIS.


Limitation of Liability; Waiver

UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES WILL STAR ALLIANCE AND/OR THE SERVICE PROVIDER BE LIABLE TO YOU FOR ANY LOSS OR DAMAGES OF ANY KIND (INCLUDING, WITHOUT LIMITATION, FOR ANY DIRECT, INDIRECT, ECONOMIC, EXEMPLARY, SPECIAL, PUNITIVE, INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL LOSSES OR DAMAGES) THAT ARE DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY RELATED TO: (A) THE SERVICE; (B) THE STAR ALLIANCE AND/OR THE SERVICE PROVIDER CONTENT; (C) USER CONTENT; (D) YOUR USE OF, INABILITY TO USE, OR THE PERFORMANCE OF THE SERVICE; (E) ANY ACTION TAKEN IN CONNECTION WITH AN INVESTIGATION BY THE STAR ALLIANCE AND/THE SERVICE PROVIDER INC. PARTIES OR LAW ENFORCEMENT AUTHORITIES REGARDING YOUR OR ANY OTHER PARTY’S USE OF THE SERVICE; (F) ANY ACTION TAKEN IN CONNECTION WITH COPYRIGHT OR OTHER INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY OWNERS; (G) ANY ERRORS OR OMISSIONS IN THE SERVICE’S OPERATION; OR (H) ANY DAMAGE TO ANY USER’S COMPUTER, MOBILE DEVICE, OR OTHER EQUIPMENT OR TECHNOLOGY INCLUDING, WITHOUT LIMITATION, DAMAGE FROM ANY SECURITY BREACH OR FROM ANY VIRUS, BUGS, TAMPERING, FRAUD, ERROR, OMISSION, INTERRUPTION, DEFECT, DELAY IN OPERATION OR TRANSMISSION, COMPUTER LINE OR NETWORK FAILURE OR ANY OTHER TECHNICAL OR OTHER MALFUNCTION, INCLUDING, WITHOUT LIMITATION, DAMAGES FOR LOST PROFITS, LOSS OF GOODWILL, LOSS OF DATA, WORK STOPPAGE, ACCURACY OF RESULTS, OR COMPUTER FAILURE OR MALFUNCTION, EVEN IF FORESEEABLE OR EVEN IF THE STAR ALLIANCE AND/THE SERVICE PROVIDER PARTIES HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF OR SHOULD HAVE KNOWN OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES, WHETHER IN AN ACTION OF CONTRACT, NEGLIGENCE, STRICT LIABILITY OR TORT (INCLUDING, WITHOUT LIMITATION, WHETHER CAUSED IN WHOLE OR IN PART BY NEGLIGENCE, ACTS OF GOD, TELECOMMUNICATIONS FAILURE, OR THEFT OR DESTRUCTION OF THE SERVICE). IN NO EVENT WILL THE STAR ALLIANCE AND/OR THE SERVICE PROVIDER. PARTIES BE LIABLE TO YOU OR ANYONE ELSE FOR LOSS, DAMAGE OR INJURY, INCLUDING, WITHOUT LIMITATION, DEATH OR PERSONAL INJURY. SOME STATES DO NOT ALLOW THE EXCLUSION OR LIMITATION OF INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, SO THE ABOVE LIMITATION OR EXCLUSION MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU. IN NO EVENT WILL THE STAR ALLIANCE AND/OR THE SERVICE PROVIDER. PARTIES TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ALL DAMAGES, LOSSES OR CAUSES OR ACTION EXCEED ONE HUNDRED UNITED STATES DOLLARS ($100.00).

YOU AGREE THAT IN THE EVENT YOU INCUR ANY DAMAGES, LOSSES OR INJURIES THAT ARISE OUT OF STAR ALLIANCE AND/OR THE SERVICE PROVIDER.’S ACTS OR OMISSIONS, THE DAMAGES, IF ANY, CAUSED TO YOU ARE NOT IRREPARABLE OR SUFFICIENT TO ENTITLE YOU TO AN INJUNCTION PREVENTING ANY EXPLOITATION OF ANY WEB SITE, SERVICE, PROPERTY, PRODUCT OR OTHER CONTENT OWNED OR CONTROLLED BY THE STAR ALLIANCE AND/OR THE SERVICE PROVIDER. PARTIES, AND YOU WILL HAVE NO RIGHTS TO ENJOIN OR RESTRAIN THE DEVELOPMENT, PRODUCTION, DISTRIBUTION, ADVERTISING, EXHIBITION OR EXPLOITATION OF ANY WEB SITE, PROPERTY, PRODUCT, SERVICE, OR OTHER CONTENT OWNED OR CONTROLLED BY THE STAR ALLIANCE AND/OR THE SERVICE PROVIDER. PARTIES.

BY ACCESSING THE SERVICE, YOU UNDERSTAND THAT YOU MAY BE WAIVING RIGHTS WITH RESPECT TO CLAIMS THAT ARE AT THIS TIME UNKNOWN OR UNSUSPECTED.

STAR ALLIANCE AND/OR THE SERVICE PROVIDER. IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR THE ACTIONS, CONTENT, INFORMATION, OR DATA OF THIRD PARTIES, AND YOU RELEASE US, OUR DIRECTORS, OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS FROM ANY CLAIMS AND DAMAGES, KNOWN AND UNKNOWN, ARISING OUT OF OR IN ANY WAY CONNECTED WITH ANY CLAIM YOU HAVE AGAINST ANY SUCH THIRD PARTIES.


Indemnification

You agree that you will defend and indemnify STAR ALLIANCE AND/OR THE SERVICE PROVIDER. and its directors, employees, officers, agents and affiliates (collectively 'the indemnified parties') against and hold each indemnified party harmless from all liabilities, damages, losses, claims, suits, judgments, costs and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) for injury to or death of any person or damage to or destruction of any property arising out of the use of the Service by you or any other person accompanying you, except that such indemnification shall not extend to acts of gross negligence or wilful misconduct by the indemnified parties.


Arbitration

EXCEPT FOR CERTAIN TYPES OF DISPUTES DESCRIBED IN THE ARBITRATION SECTION, YOU AGREE THAT DISPUTES BETWEEN YOU AND IEG WILL BE RESOLVED BY BINDING, INDIVIDUAL ARBITRATION AND YOU WAIVE YOUR RIGHT TO PARTICIPATE IN A CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT OR CLASS-WIDE ARBITRATION.


Time Limitation on Claims

You agree that any claim you may have arising out of or related to your relationship with STAR ALLIANCE AND/OR THE SERVICE PROVIDER. must be filed within one year after such claim arose; otherwise, your claim is permanently barred.


Governing Law & Venue

These Terms of Use are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Province of Quebec, without giving effect to any principles of conflicts of law AND WILL SPECIFICALLY NOT BE GOVERNED BY THE UNITED NATIONS CONVENTIONS ON CONTRACTS FOR THE INTERNATIONAL SALE OF GOODS, IF OTHERWISE APPLICABLE. For any action at law or in equity relating to the arbitration provision of these Terms of Use, the Excluded Disputes or if you opt out of the agreement to arbitrate, you agree to resolve any dispute you have with Star Alliance and/or the Service provider exclusively in a provincial court of Quebec and to submit to the personal jurisdiction of the courts located in the Province of Quebec for the purpose of litigating all such disputes.

If any provision of these Terms of Use is held to be unlawful, void, or for any reason unenforceable during arbitration or by a court of competent jurisdiction, then that provision will be deemed severable from these Terms of Use and will not affect the validity and enforceability of any remaining provisions. Star Alliance and/or the Service provider’s failure to insist upon or enforce strict performance of any provision of these Terms will not be construed as a waiver of any provision or right. No waiver of any of these Terms will be deemed a further or continuing waiver of such term or condition or any other term or condition. Star Alliance and/or the Service provider reserves the right to change this dispute resolution provision, but any such changes will not apply to disputes arising before the effective date of the amendment. This dispute resolution provision will survive the termination of any or all of your transactions with Star Alliance and/or the Service provider.


Entire Agreement

These Terms of Use and any other notices or statements posted on the Service constitute the entire agreement between you and Star Alliance. with respect to the use of the Service and these Terms of Use supersede all prior or contemporaneous communications and proposals, whether electronic, oral or written, between you and Star Alliance and/or the Service provider with respect to the Service.


Territorial Restrictions

We reserve the right to limit the availability of the Service or any portion of the Service, to any person, geographic area, or jurisdiction, at any time and in our sole discretion, and to limit the quantities of any program, product, service or other feature that Star Alliance and/or the Service provider provides.
